Through her journey, Laurie developed a strong a passion for health and Fitness from a very young age. Whether it be physical education, or coaching her cheerleaders on the mat, Laurie enjoys educating and empowering others to achieve their goals. With her charismatic personality she thrives in high energy settings. She is both courageous and kind, a great girl to have in your corner in and out of the boxing ring. She loves to explore different ways to Challenge the body, Gravity happens to be her new favorite! She also likes stunt training and boot camp style classes. Laurie comes from Toronto, Canada where she took her love for Fitness and is ready to run with it.
Christina Vanderlaat fell in love with figure skating at age 6 and competed at a national level for Sweden. Sport and Fitness were a part of entire Christina’s life. That’s why holding an MBA and having built a great carrier in the corporate world (major investment banks, Royal Caribbean & Carnival Cruise Lines) due to her overwhelming love to help people look and feel good, Christina returned to her fitness passion and was certified in personal training, yoga, Pilates, Spinning and Zumba. Christina practices the same principles at her home with two children who are practicing and competing at a high level in their respected sports, hockey and figure skating. Christina has a true love for fitness and living healthier & better that she shares with everyone.
Health and fitness has been a lifestyle of Terry’s for many years. As a prior service member for 5 years in the Marines Corps, he holds himself to the highest standard of professionalism in all that he does. Helping others accomplish their fitness goals is a passion of Terry’s. He strives to motivate and assist his clients in pushing their limits to transform their bodies. Terry is a certified personal trainer through the International Sports & Science Association (ISSA). Currently enrolled as a student at Nova Southeastern University, Terry continues to further his education in the health and fitness industry by pursuing his BA in Exercise Science. He is extremely dedicated to his clients in provided them with the utmost care and attention needed to provide a hardworking, fun and enjoyable experience.
Sonja Friend-Uhl has trained people of all ages and abilities for over twenty years. A skilled fitness programmer, Sonja holds Fitness Training Certifications with ACSM and AFAA as well as AFAA specialty certifications in Youth, Senior, and Pre-Natal Fitness. Sonja is also a certified ACE Health Coach which gives her the ability to work with those in the allied health field in regards to high risk or specialized clientele. She is a registered Nutrition & Weight Loss Counselor. Following her passion for running, Sonja is USATF Coaching Certified. For the last 11 years Sonja has traveled the world consulting as the Lead Master Trainer for Core Health & Fitness which includes the brands of Stairmaster, Nautilus, Schwinn, and Star Trac. These endeavors as well as excelling in her own fitness and running coaching business have led to Sonja’s status as one of the top fitness professionals in the industry. Sonja is the reigning World Record Holder in the Women’s Masters Indoor Mile (4:44.8) and the American Record Holder in the Women’s Masters 1500m (4:16.9), the Women’s Masters Outdoor Mile (4:45.68), and the Women’s Masters Indoor 3000m (9:48.23). Sonja is also a repeat National & World Masters Champion in the 800m, 1500m, & 5000m, & Cross Country
Raised in South Florida, Ana Schochet, has been in the fitness industry for over 20 years and is qualified to teach in over 10 different formats . Her passion for fitness would lead her to obtain numerous certifications in the field (Personal Training, Pilates, Spinning, Kickboxing, Step, Body pump, Zumba, Trekking, nutrition consultant, MOTR, TRX, Ballet Barre , etc,) and then ultimately a Bachelor’s Degree in exercise sciences from Florida International University. Ana worked as a corporate personal trainer for Shulas Athletic Club and was Don Shulas personal trainer for almost a decade. She began her pilates practice in 1997 and received her first certification from Polestar Pilates in Miami, Florida. Ana also went through the Power Pilates bridge program and is Now Power Pilates and Pilates Method Alliance Certified. Ana currently works with professional athletes in the NFL and NHL to incorporate pilates into their training
Dayry is a Certified Personal Trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine and has been actively engaged in the fitness profession for over four years now. She comes from a background in clinical counseling with a Master’s Degree in Psychology from Nova Southeastern University. She has extensive experience leading private, semi-private and group exercise sessions such as functional strength and conditioning, high intensity interval training, animal flow, yoga and stretching for performance. She is also a seasoned martial arts practitioner in diverse disciplines including Mixed Martial Arts, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and Pekiti Tirsia Kali.
